hey anyone out here with older kids. I have a 7 year old second grade daughter here and was wondering if all we had was infents and tots around here
I have a 14-year-old daughter. Read to 'em while they still like it ... <g>. I am a fortunate father however, seeing as there are so many posts on parenting sites where men describe being "divorced from" or "disowned by" their daughters when they become teens. I'm not afraid of teenage-dom; hers thus far has proven to be far less wild and more constructive than mine was. And the stuff about openness apparently does work, at least so far, as she's told us things I'd never have said to my parents ...
